【Cultural】Food Festival featuring India

Indian cuisine is known and loved all over the world for its natural ingredients, rich flavor, spices, and aroma. Due to this popularity, Indian restaurants are available almost everywhere. India, called as land of spices as it produces variety of it.

India is divided into 28 states or provinces and eight union territories, where each province serves different kinds of food, but the spices used are what makes it common. One of the most popular dish is Biryani, Tandoori Chicken, Fish Curry and Chicken Curry.   

The term 'Indian food' means a blend of flavors from different parts of the country and has been a showcase of cultural exchange with the far corners of the world for centuries. Food is also part of India’s festivals celebrations.

The food in the video is from the southern part of Andhra Pradesh Rayalseema region, Kichidi (a kind of rice), Chicken Curry and the addition of Dahi (yogurt) eases the spiciness of the food. Indian food tastes better when eaten with bare hands

Khichdi is one of the best Indian comfort foods. Most type are wholesome and only use few spices, making it gentle to the stomach.  

It is a popular one-pot meal that is cooked in every Indian home. This food is also associated with soothing and healing.

In addition to being delicious, Khichdi is easy to prepare and nutritious.
