Before Arrival

NTOU Invitation and MOE Approval Letter

  • Once your application is accepted, we will provide you with an invitation letter from NTOU along with an approval letter from our Ministry of Education. Please contact the nearest embassy or authorized office [LINK] for your visa application and to prepare for your trip to Taiwan.


Required Documents before Your Arrival

1.Copy of Visa

  • Please contact the nearest embassy or authorized office [LINK] to apply for the appropriate visa.
  • Please send me the visa when it is ready. Without having the appropriate visa, students are not allowed to visit NTOU.

2.Flight Itinerary

  • Please share the itinerary with us when it is ready.
  • The nearest airport is Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport(TPE) [Google Map] and Songshan Airport(TSA) [Google Map].
  • It takes around 2 to 3 hours to NTOU after landing, please make sure you won't miss the dormitory check-in time. The dormitory check-in time is from 10 AM to 8 PM.

3.Health Certificate

  • According to the regulations, you have to use format "Health Certificate for Short-Term Students"  [Downloadto do the medical check-up before you come to Taiwan.  Please send us the scanned copy when it is available and bring the original one to NTOU.
  • If you could not complete the medical check-up in your home country, please register a medical check-up in Taiwan within 14 days after your arrival. 
  • Please note that the certificate is valid for 3 months. Your certificate should be valid when you arrive in NTOU.  If your certificate is invalid or the information is not completed, NTOU has the right to ask you to do the check-up again within 14 days after your arrival. 
  • The report should be filled in English with the physician and the hospital stamps.
  • If your report is not in English, you need to do the translation and the notarization(by our embassy or authorized office).

4.Insurance Certificate

  • Insurance is compulsory for all international students attending our programs.
  • Please ensure having appropriate insurance covering unpredictable accidents and medical expenses during the stay in Taiwan.
