On the afternoon of June 17, National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU) welcomed 13 students and a faculty member from the MSc in Urban, Port and Transport Economics program at Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Hosted by the Department of Shipping and Transport Management, the visiting group attended a special lecture highlighting Taiwan’s maritime and logistics development. They also toured NTOU’s state-of-the-art Ship Handling Simulation Center, where they experienced firsthand the simulation of ship operations.

This visit is part of the group’s educational and cultural tour in Taiwan following their academic year. The students, who come from diverse academic backgrounds and career interests, aimed to deepen their understanding of port, transport, and sustainability practices in Asia through this interaction with NTOU—one of Taiwan’s leading institutions in maritime education.
