【News】NTOU Promotes Admissions and Academic Exchange, Strengthens Collaboration with Philippine Universities

National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU) continues to expand its international outreach by deepening ties with Southeast Asian partner institutions. In July 2025, NTOU’s delegation visited Mapúa University and Western Philippines University in the Philippines, conducting a series of admission promotion and academic exchange events to strengthen bilateral cooperation in higher education.

During the events, the NTOU team introduced the university’s admissions strategies, international programs, and academic strengths in fisheries and marine sciences. A hands-on demonstration of molecular gastronomy—specifically the technique of spherification—was also conducted, leaving a strong impression on participating students and faculty.

The delegation further shared NTOU’s experiences in implementing University Social Responsibility (USR) initiatives, fostering discussions on future collaboration in talent development and industry engagement between Taiwan and the Philippines.

Led by Prof. Yu-Wei Chang, Dean of International Affairs, the delegation also included international student representatives from various countries. Their participation highlighted NTOU’s commitment to fostering a diverse and welcoming international learning environment, which was well received by local students and faculty.

Looking ahead, NTOU will continue cultivating partnerships in Southeast Asia through strategic collaborations in admissions, academic programs, and institutional cooperation—offering students broader opportunities for global learning and engagement.
