National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU) received a delegation from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) on October 16. UEH is one of Vietnam’s leading public universities and has actively expanded into engineering and technology fields in recent years, particularly excelling in smart manufacturing and robotics.
The delegation was led by Professor Nguyen Truong Thinh, Director of the Institute of Intelligent and Interactive Technologies, and Dr. Nguyen Ba Son, Director of the Master’s Program in Technology Management. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on faculty research collaboration, student exchange programs in Taiwan, and an integrated program that allows students to continue directly into NTOU’s master’s program after graduation. NTOU announced that the Department of Mechanical Engineering will serve as the starting point for collaboration, with plans to gradually expand to the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and other related fields.
Both universities also plan to launch a pilot exchange program in September next year and discuss signing an MOU to foster a long-term partnership in smart technology and innovative education.
