National Taiwan Ocean University signed a MOU with Vietnam's IGC University to promote teaching and research cooperation
National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU) and Vietnam's Institute of Global Citizenship (IGC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on March 8, 2023. The two universities discussed future cooperation, including mutual exchange and collaboration between departments, planning for short- and long-term student exchanges, organizing summer camps, and other cooperative projects. Both sides expressed high expectations and optimistic prospects for this cooperation.
Ms. Duong Thuc Linh, the Executive Director of Vietnam's IGC University, led five other delegates to participate in the meeting. Representatives from the NTOU, including President Tai Wen Hsu, the Vice President, Dr. Cheng-Yu Ku, the Dean of College of Life Sciences, Dr. Todd Hsu, the Director Operation Center for Enterprise Academia Networking, Dr. Han-Jia Lin, the Dean of the International Affairs of the NTOU, Dr. Yu-Wei Chang, and Dr. Pin-Wen Chiou, also attended the meeting.
The signing of the MOU signifies two universities’ consensus on strengthening and expanding the cooperation and establishes a more solid foundation for their cooperation in talent cultivation, teaching, and research.
After the meeting, the delegation from Vietnam's IGC University visited NTOU’s Aquatic Animal Center for futher cooperation and exchange in the field of marine science.
