From April 17 to April 21, the NTOU Vice President, Cheng-Yu Ku, led a delegation to Vietnam for a visit. During the visit, they visited many institutions to discuss issues such as teaching and academic research. The purpose of this visit was to deepen academic cooperation between the two countries, promote international talent exchange, and expand industry-academic cooperation.

During the visit, the NTOU delegation had discussions with Can Tho University, IGC (Institute of Global Citizenship) Education Group, and UT-HCMC (TBC) on various fields such as talent training, student recruitment, academic research, departmental cooperation, and industry-academia collaboration. During the recruitment event at Can Tho University, 12 outstanding students received offers from the NTOU, which fully demonstrated the commitment and determination of our school to cultivate outstanding talents.

In addition to visiting academic institutions, our delegation also held meetings with several business organizations, including Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Ho Chi Minh City, Dimerco Vietfracht (JV) Co.,LTD, Mr. Andrew Chen, and Wen-Chu Hsien, the CEO of the Chen-yung Memorial Foundation. Director Han, Kuo-Yao and Section Chief Chen, He-Xian from the TECO in Ho Chi Minh City warmly welcomed the NTOU delegation. The office shared their practical experience and looked forward to promoting academic cooperation between Taiwan and Vietnam.

After the meeting, to strengthen the bond between our university and our alumni, the NTOU delegation joined by the alumni established the Vietnam Alumni Association during the evening banquet and elected Mr. Andrew Chen as the first president. We believe that this association will become an important platform for our alumni to support and connect with each other.
