GIS

The Global Initiatives Symposium (GIS) Taiwan through the department of Global Partnership and Delegate Affairs of GIS Taiwan 2022, is inviting all international students for a 5-day symposium organized by students and instructed by National Taiwan University. The tentative date of conference is on January 21-25, 2022 at the National Taiwan University.

Each year, they gather scholars, entrepreneurs, and student delegates from around the world to discuss four chosen academic topics and devise practical solutions. Delegates will have the opportunity to interact with working professionals and build life-long friendships with fellow delegates. They aim to inspire change in the world by promoting interdisciplinary dialogues and diverse voices.

The Global Brainstorming Forum (GIS Taiwan) is Taiwan’s largest international student academic forum. The annual forum is held for five days each year. It brings together scholars, business leaders and student representatives from all over the world to provide global leaders and students with a cross-cutting experience. A cross-generational industry-government-academic exchange platform in which young students are expected to conduct in-depth discussions related to the annual theme and propose action plans for implementation.

"Global Initiatives Symposium in Taiwan" was founded in 2008 and is Taiwan's first formal academic forum for international students. "Thinking" is taken from the homophony of GIS. It is hoped that young people from all over the world will gather in GIS Taiwan to "think together", take the Asia-Pacific as a starting point, discuss global trends, and propose feasible essays or action plans to have an impact on the world.
