【COVID 19 Alert】Level 3 Restrictions for COVID-19 Extended to June 28, 2021

On June 7, 2021, the government announced the extension of the Level 3 restriction until June 28, 2021, since the current epidemic situation in the country has not yet stabilized. With this extension, online learning for academic institutions at all levels will continue until the end of the spring semester of this year.

The Taipei City Government recently announced new ID regulations to limit the size of crowds. The Keelung City Government also announced similar ID requirements and restrictions. Public venues such as markets, supermarkets, and other public retail markets will require individuals to present their residency cards (ARC for foreigners) and use the odd/even numbering system. The last digit of the ID card will be the basis for being accommodated. Individuals with cards ending with odd numbers will be allowed on Monday, Wednesday, Friday Sunday. Meanwhile, the market schedule of ID cards ending in even number is every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday only.  Make sure to always bring with you your ARC card when you go out for proper identification. If your ARC card is not available, you can bring your passport as a proof of identification.
