National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU) and Prince of Songkla University(PSU) held an online exchange meeting on March 29th,2021. Dr. Tai Wen Hsu, the president of NTOU indicated that NTOU will offer postgraduate scholarship programs for PSU this September.
Dr.Tai Wen Hsu, the president of NTOU, personally led the administrative team, including Executive Vice President, Dr. Ming An Lee, Dean of International Affairs, Dr. I-Shiung Chen and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Tai-Yuan Lin and Vice President for Research & Development Kwan Tun Lee to participate in this online meeting. Both universities will cooperate in technology transfers, research observation, and manage new faculty as autonomous faculty.
Prince of Songkla University is a public university established in 1967 as the first university in southern Thailand. There are five campuses offering various programs of education consistent with the needs of their communities. Last year, Charoen Nakason, the vice president from PSU, Surat Thani campus led PSU faculty members to visit NTOU. Both universities held a meeting and discuss PSU new faculty, Agriculture, and Fishery Innovation. NTOU will also plan to lead faculty members to visit PSU after the epidemic. Both universities will aim in developing professional talents in marine science in the future.
Meeting contents:
1. NTOU will offer postgraduate scholarship programs for five students from PSU in September 2021.
2. Both universities will cooperate in technology transfers.
3. Both universities will enhance research cooperation.
4. Active the plan of manage new faculty as autonomous faculty.
