【NEWS】NTOU Signs MOU with MSU-IIT, Advancing International Academic Exchange

National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU) and Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) of the Philippines formalized their collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today. Both parties will jointly to advance education, research, and academic exchanges, and initiate various cooperative projects in various fields, bringing new vitality into their academic development.

The signing of this MOU was witnessed by NTOU representatives, including the Vice President of the NTOU, Professor Cheng-Yu Ku, the Dean of International Affairs, Professor Yu-Wei Chang, the OIA Director of Division of International Cooperation, Pin-Wen Chiou, the Institute of Marine Environment and Ecology, Assistant Professor Ruei-Feng Shiu, and the Institute of Marine Biology, Assistant Professor Ying-Ning Ho, along with representatives from the Philisspine side, the MSU-IIT Chancellor, Prof. Alizedney M. Ditucalan, J.D., LL.M, and the Graduate Program of Environmental Science, Professor Hernando P. Bacosa, Ph.D.

Located in the Philippines, MSU-IIT offers a diverse range of programs from secondary school to graduate level, granting degrees in Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate studies. The primary language of instruction at the university is English, with a select number of courses offered in Filipino and other languages. Currently, MSU-IIT has seven Centers of Excellence designated by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) of the Philippines, along with eleven CHED-recognized Development Centers.

The signing of this MOU lays a solid foundation for teaching, academic exchange, research collaboration, and talent cultivation between NTOU and MSU-IIT. With concerted efforts from both sides, it is believed that a brighter future will be forged.
