1.Check the Visa Type

Residence Visa

• Please bring your passport to OIA.  We'll help you apply for the Alien Residence Certificate(ARC) online. [Link]

Visitor Visa

• You could need to apply for an identity number.  Please visit the Immigration Office [Google Map] with your passport and NTOU invitation.

• If you have an approval letter from the MOE or NSTC, please bring the copies to Immigration Office as well.

2.Open an Account

Please bring your Alien Residence Certificate(ARC) or Record of ID No. in the Republic of China and personal stamp to apply for your account in Taiwan at the Post Office [Campus Map] at NTOU.

！！If you are a scholarship student, don’t forget to share your ARC/identity number and account number with your supervisor for scholarship transfer.！！

Rules

Students can borrow up to 15 books from the library at a time, with a borrowing period of 30 days.

Gym Membership

Introduction

• We have fitness room, table tennis room, badminton courts and tennis courts.

Opening Hours

• During Semester: 12:10 - 13:10 and 17:10 - 22:10
• Winter/Summer Vacation: 11:00 - 14:00 and 17:00 - 21:00

Fares

• Fitness room, Table tennis room & Badminton courts:
  • NT$20/hour
  • NT$300/half year
  • NT$600/year
• Tennis courts: NT$100/person/hour

[STEP 3] Pay fees at the Cashier No. 2 and bring the receipt back to the Gym Office for your membership card

*We highly recommend applying for a half-year or one-year membership if you plan to use the facilities frequently.

Visa Extension

1.Who has to do the visa extension?

• Students with visitor visa.
• The duration of stay permitted by your visa is shorter than the duration of your internship.
• There is no “NO EXTENSION” on your visa.

2.Where can I apply for it?

• Immigration Office in Keelung [Google Map]

3.When should I apply for it?

• 15 days prior to the expiration date

4.What should I prepare for?

• Current Visa (original and copy)
• Supporting Documents for Specific Purpose of Stay:
  • NTOU Invitation
  • NTOU Enrollment Certificate (It would be provided by OIA.)
